If you are a photographer looking to dip your toes into the world of writing, and experiment with different ways of combining text and image to tell a story, then this is the class for you.
The course is taught by Writer and Photographer Sal Taylor Kydd.
SPECIFICS:
The class will meet on TUESDAYS, beginning January 9TH and wrapping on February 20TH.

1PM to 3PM (EST - New York time)

Course tuition: NOK 7.200,-
Each meeting will include opportunities for critique of your images with the goal to explore ways to include text into your narrative. There will also be time for discussion and workshopping of your writing together with the rest of the class.
We will examine sequencing of text and image to create unexpected moments in your narrative. All forms of writing are encouraged from prose to poetry.
Sal will share with the class her own books and online projects where she has used a variety of approaches to bring text and her photographs together.
We will also look at other artists who successfully
combine text and images.
Sal will give you assignments between classes that will allow you to experiment with writing, as you tailor your creative process to create new conversations in your work.
This is a class for photographers looking to experiment with incorporating writing into their creative practice in combination with their photography.
We are also offering an online Text & Image level 2, and in late September 2024 we are again travelling to Tuscany, Italy for our yearly Photography & writing Retreat with SAL (info and registration will be posted in Nov/ Dec). Our online Text & Image courses are a perfect preparation for the retreat.

ONLINE COURSE TUITION:
NOK 7.200,-
The amount is listed in Norwegian Kroner (NOK)
You can pay via the bank or Paypal. We need a min of 5 participants to run the course.
International students: You can pay us via PayPal or transfer your payment directly to our account. Please let us know when registration for a workshop your preferred method of payment. For PayPal payments there is a handling fee of 6% of the amount paid that will be added to the invoice. For bank transfer there is a transaction fee charged by your bank. Check with your bank for the amount.
For bank transfers there is an Invoice Fee (fakturagebyr) of NOK 40,- added to the invoice.
