THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CRITIQUE
with Connie Imboden
Exploring our work through self-critique can guide us where to go next, reveal the discoveries that make our work exciting and worthwhile, and uncover the treasures that lie just beneath the surface. By enabling a deeper, more intimate understanding of our work, we develop a deeper, more profound understanding of our selves.
This week-end seminar with Connie will teach you how to self-critique, you will learn how to listen to your work on a clear and objective level, seeing what is strong, what has potential, and likewise what you can let go of.
Self-critique is a process of evaluating our values and defining what is important to us. Not only does this help us recognize the feedback that is truly insightful and beneficial in our artistic growth, but it helps understand our work and it's direction.
This seminar starts on Friday March 5TH, and wraps on Sunday March 7TH. There will be given assignments in between the classes, so we recommend that you dedicate the full week-end to this class.

As artists, our work can often take us down unexpected pathways and open us to new directions that exceed our expectations. Many of us have, at one time or another, stumbled upon a "breakthrough", some enlightening, "aha" moment in our work when "all the pieces came together". Sound familiar?
In order to promote these delicious moments of discovery, it is absolutely essential to learn to self-critique and examine the work we are currently creating.
While listening to others is essential in developing our work, it is equally important to be able to evaluate the feedback we receive and identify what is relevant to our vision and what resonates with our direction.
Connie is also teaching the online course Visual Illusions Level 1 & Visual Illusions Level 2, and our workshop Nude as Form (not posted yet) at our creative center SAGA 7-12 Sep.
